  • Finch v Boykin, M.D., Indian River County, 2005 0854 CA 11
    Plaintiff patient sued client doctor for breach of fiduciary duty for discussing confidential medical information and for negligence by reporting the plaintiff to the police for alleged “doctor shopping” and by so doing violated the narcotics agreement the patient had voluntarily signed with doctor years earlier. Lead lawyer Robert I Rubin obtained a defense verdict for the physician, and utilized the case as a basis to publish an article entitled, “Police Requests of Patient Narcotics Agreements Placing Physicians between a Rock and a Hard Place”.   • Cramin v Bahama Diver, Broward County
    Defended the Bahama Divers in a SCUBA fatality that occurred in Atlantis, the Bahamas. The deceased diver was a man in his mid-30s who left a wife and three children behind. The client had defaulted by failure to answer the complaint. Trial was on damages only, and the firm was able to greatly limit the damages awarded to the plaintiff.
