Professional Experience

Mr. Perl has been involved in all aspects of community association law, including transactional, collections, mediation, arbitration, construction defects, and litigation. He is certified by the State of Florida as a facilitator for continuing education credit courses for Community Association Managers. He has prepared and conducted informational seminars for continuing education credits for community association managers. He also assisted in the production of condominium and homeowner association articles and newsletters.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Perl was a Community Association Manager with The Continental Group, serving as a Regional Manager and then Operations Manager. Mr. Perl was selected to the 2013 Florida Rising Stars list and holds the AV Preeminent rating, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest possible rating for an attorney, for both ethical and standards and legal ability.

Mr. Perl retired as a Major in the Army Reserves after 33 years of service and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from July 2005 to July 2006. 

Activities & Memberships

Mr. Perl is an active member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), has been designated a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) since 1995.  Mr. Perl is also past President of the Greater Miami Chapter of CAI, as well as a past member and Chairman of Florida Legislative Alliance, a statewide committee of CAI for interacting with the legislature as it pertains to condominium and homeowner legislation. 

Mr. Perl is a member of the American Bar Association and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of the Florida Bar.
